Centrifuge 2011: we will be attending Centrifuge at North Greenville University, in Greenville, SC July 4-9, 2011.    We will be leaving at 8am on Monday July 4th and will be returning Saturday July 9th  around 6pm.  The time of return may change... your child will call you when we are about an hour or so out so you can plan accordingly.

 

WHAT TO BRING
• Linens, towels, pillows, blankets
• Water bottle that you can refill and carry with you
• Closed toe, closed heel shoes (for outdoor activities)
• Bible, notepad, and pen
• Toiletries such as toothbrush and shampoo
• Sun protection
• Spending money for snacks, camp store, and missions offering (optional)
• Ministry supplies if your group is doing XFUGE on Mission
• DO NOT BRING alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, fireworks, water guns, or any
kind of weapon
• DO NOT BRING radios, iPods, CD players, play station portables or other
gaming devices, roller blades, skateboards – if students do bring cell phones
please help be sure it is not a distraction at camp.

What else should I bring / plan on?

We will be eating 2 meals on the road, lunch on the way up and lunch on the way back.  So they will need money for this.  There is also the option to buy various souvenirs around the camp, so if you would like, send some money along for that also.  If there are any questions please don't hesitate to call!

Also, you may want to consider sending some extra clothes in case of a very messy game. Maybe even some clothes you don't mind possibly throwing away!!!!

Chaperone leadership will  be posted once we get closer to camp time.
 
Dress Code - DO NOT bring anything that:
  • Advertises alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs
  • Explicitly or implicitly promotes racism, sexism or hatred of any group or person
  • Explicitly or implicitly refers to sexual actions or situations
  • Has spaghetti straps (except sleepwear)
  • Is excessively short or tight fitting (fingertip rule) 
While at camp, we ask that students:
  • Wear modest, one piece bathing suits (or cover w/ a t-shirt)
  • Wear modest shorts, dresses, slacks and jeans for worship. Long pants or knee length skirts are required for students or adults participating in worship on stage.
  • Do NOT dress in anything that call attention to underwear (sagging pants, rolled down waistband, etc.)
  • Centrifuge camps enforce the dress code.  If you wear inappropriate clothing, Centrifuge personnel reserve the right to ask your church leaders to escort you back to your room so that you may change into soemthing appropriate.  Back to top
