We believe in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. We believe in the authority of scripture and its power to provide direction and purpose for our lives. We practice baptism by immersion as outward expression of the inward decision to place our faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that Christians should develop in their faith and be committed to a life of personal devotion to God. Commitment is expressed through corporate and private worship, participation in small group Bible study, meaningful service in a ministry, giving financially in a God-honoring way and intentionally introducing others to a personal relationship with God.
How to Become a Member
By Profession of Faith and Baptism:
If you receive Jesus Christ as your personal savior and follow Him in baptism by immersion, we welcome you into our fellowship.
By Letter:
As a believer who has been previously immersed, should God direct you here, we will be pleased to welcome you into our church family. We will happily take care of details for transferring your membership.
By Statement:
In the event church membership records are not available for a transfer of membership, or if you were once a Baptist church member but are presently a member of another denomination, we will accept your statement of these conditions.
By Watchcare:
A person may keep their membership at their home church and come under the Watchcare of this church while residing in this area for a brief time period.
You may express your desire to fulfill any of the above by presenting yourself during the invitation at the close of any worship service. Of course, any decision assumes your commitment to being faithful in prayer and participation in our Lord's work through Bethlehem Baptist Church. The pastor or any staff member will be happy to meet with you as a prospective member to discuss your decision.
